Riberebro and Eurochamp form the largest global network in the cultivation and processing of mushrooms. The alliance agreed upon by both companies in 2011 has made the group become a major European specialist and one of the industry’s global leaders.

Riberebro and Eurochamp, control all areas of production: Fresh product, Range IV and preserves. Both experts, having worked with mushroom for more than 50 years, are involved throughout the entire value chain: compost facilities, raising the crops, research programs. The strategic location of their processing facilities, located in Spain (La Rioja and Cuenca), Mexico and China, have made Riberebro and Eurochamp leaders in the supply, processing and distribution of mushrooms, its products being present in America, Europe and Asia- Pacific.

Riberebro and Eurochamp joined forces to reinforce the competitiveness of Spanish mushroom within the European and global market. The strategic partnership was designed in a way that production and trade structures from both companies would complement each other, increasing productivity and achieving distribution in a greater number of markets: Retail, Food Service and Industry.

The main purpose of this alliance is to gain the dimension needed to compete internationally. Equally, the partnership aims to promote research within the production process, hoping to improve production, marketing, distribution and customer loyalty.

Riberebro and Eurochamp offer their customers the widest and most competitive range of mushrooms and other types of fungi (such as Saffron Milk Cap), in all formats and presentations: fresh or preserved, whole or sliced.

In order to improve the processing of mushrooms and other fungi, both companies have come up with an integrated system covering all production processes. Introducing state of the art technology into the process allows the partnership to produce all of its products in- house, all year round.

The Riberebro Group is present at all steps of the production process: Supervising the crops, manufacture and marketing.

With over a hundred years’ experience, Gvtarra is Riberebro’s trademark in canned vegetables, having become leading brand in glass jar preserved vegetables in the national market (data by Nielsen). It markets over a 100 varieties: cardoon, green beans, mixed Navarra vegetables, artichokes, mushrooms, chard, pochas (original beans from Navarra), lentils, chick peas…

90% of the raw material used in its production comes from “La Ribera del Ebro”, and the rest from other areas of Spain, Holland or France, always seeking the highest quality. Cooperation with growers is essential in order to coordinate crops and select raw materials.

Cooked pulses are another of Riberebro’s specialties. In a similar way to vegetables, the group controls the whole production process. The group contributes and gives the growers advice on how to raise their crops and how to select the beans, chick peas and lentils. The state of the art technologies used in the production process allow withholding the maximum amount of natural properties and flavors in the pulses according to food safety requirements. Ja’e and Gvtarra both add experience in the preserving and marketing of these products.

Amongst its many varieties, red/white beans, chick peas and lentils, stand out.

≈ Experts in asparagus and piquillo peppers

The group broadens its offer by introducing two new products: asparagus and piquillo peppers. Riberebro oversees the raising of the crops, produces and markets the new specialties that will be introduced under the brand Viter and used by the biggest retail and food service names. These new varieties are possible due to the long term partnership between the Riberebro Group and Camposol, international leader in the agro-industrial sector, and largest exporter of asparagus and piquillo peppers in the world.

Camposol is at the top of the list of Perú’s agricultural exports ranking. It has more than 25.000 arable land hectares in the north of Peru. Camposol’s has six processing facilities: three for preserves, two for fresh products and one for frozen products.
